Creating your new project

Modern projects offer a new candidate experience as well as a new project builder interface, which make creating, editing and publishing projects as intuitive and efficient as ever.

Initial Project Setup

To create your project, there are 4 simple steps to follow. These steps are outlined, with links to further information should you need it. 

1. Click the 'Add project' button on your homepage. If prompted, select 'Modern' project.Image 15-01-2026 at 09.55.jpeg
 2. Add the key details and click 'Save' to create the project. To continue, work through the options in the left-hand side menu from top to bottom to set all elements for the project.

3. Set Project Design. Here you can set the branding colours for the project.

4. Set at least 1 Project Information.


Adding a New Phase

Once you have completed your initial project set up, you will be ready to add a Phase

  1. If desired, you can name your phase. If you choose not to add a name, a default name will be provided. This name is visible only to admin users. 
  2. In each Phase, you can add up to 5 Phase Information. This Phase Information will be shown to candidates when they get to this phase.
  3. Add activities for this phase. If desired, for each activity you can add Activity Information that will be shown directly before or after the candidate accesses the activity.
  4. Set phase messages, if required.

💡Up to 5 phases can be added per project


Adding Translations

Translation capability will automatically be enabled in your project for every project language you select when setting up your initial project details.

As you are editing your content throughout your project, you will have the ability to choose which language you would like to edit so you can add your translations seamlessly as part of project setup.

A handy flag will let you know if you haven't yet added translations for all of your project and phase content.

Once you have worked through the steps above, you will be ready to add the final details to your project, these include: 


Finalising your Project

Clicking 'Preview & Publish' will allow you to preview the candidate experience: here you can change remaining design elements such as the background image and add a tagline. If you spot any typos, you can go back to the project builder and correct.

When everything looks ready to go, click 'Publish'. If you have any translations or essential elements missing, a warning will let you know. Once a project is published, you can add candidates to it

💡Please note that certain elements, such as some project settings, can no longer be edited after publishing. These include:

  • Adding new project languages
  • Adding new project and phase information (you can edit the existing information should you need to)
  • Adding or removing activities (Assessment, Video Interview or Assessment Centre)
  • Activity order settings
  • Project deadlines
