Flag Meanings (plain English)

  • IP Address → This check looks for more than one IP address being used to take an assessment, which could mean someone else is helping. It also checks if the timing and way the assessment is accessed seem unusual. If a candidate switches between Wi-Fi and mobile data because of connection problems, that’s not seen as suspicious.
  • Devices Used → This check looks for use of more than one device, which can be a sign of cheating. If someone changes devices because of connection or ease of use, that’s not a problem.
  • Browser Patrolling → This check identifies repeated instances of tab or browser switching throughout the assessment. The switching must occur over an extended period or as part of a sustained pattern to be flagged as an incident.
  • Question Engagement → This check identifies abnormal response times throughout the assessment period. Response patterns that are unrealistic and sustained will be flagged as an incident.
